About Us
Infection Prevention Systems, Inc. ("IPS") was formed with the
goal of providing a comprehensive, practical and affordable solution
to the hand-cleansing compliance problem.
Industries as diverse as healthcare, food service, hospitality and
manufacturing have long-struggled to achieve a level of confidence
that their staff members were adequately cleansing their hands in
order to prevent the spread of infectious organisms and contaminants
in the workplace environment.
Consultations with professionals in these industries led to the
design and development of a patent pending system that is able to not only
monitor whether employees cleanse their hands as required, but also
verifies that they have performed a sufficient cleansing, and
maintains a record of each employee's hand-cleansing regimen,
enabling management to track compliance rates.
Official launch of the Clean Hands Infection Prevention System
(CHIPS) was made at the 2007 annual APIC Conference, June 24-28, in
San Jose. APIC is the Association of Professionals in Infection
Control and Epidemiology (www.apic.org).
The IPS management team is composed of technical development
executives and engineers, marketing and sales experts from the
infection prevention field, and business management executives drawn
from diverse backgrounds.
